Common questions
Where is my artwork stored?
On your device, in the app. If you’ve turned on “Save scans to Photos” it’s also in your own Photos library. There’s no account and no cloud library, which means there’s also no sync between devices — see backups below.
Will I lose everything if I lose my phone?
Your artwork is included in your device backup (iCloud Backup or an encrypted Finder backup), and restoring a backup restores the app’s contents. If you want a second copy you control, turn on “Save scans to Photos” so each scan also lands in your Photos library.
Why are some pieces untagged?
Themes and titles are filled in by Smart tagging, which is off unless you’ve turned it on in Settings. With it off — or if the service can’t be reached — pieces stay untagged and you can name them yourself. The app never guesses.
Does my child’s artwork leave my phone?
Only if Smart tagging is on, and only the picture plus their age in years. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
Can I use it for more than one child?
Yes. Add another artist in Settings, and each gets their own wall.
The scanner isn’t finding the edges of the paper.
Strong, even light and a contrasting surface help most — a dark table under white paper. You can always drag the corners yourself before saving.
Can I get my artwork out?
Any piece can be shared from its detail view, and reels export as ordinary video files. “Save scans to Photos” puts full-resolution scans in your Photos library, where they’re yours to do anything with.
How do I delete something?
Open the piece and delete it — that removes the image, its voice note, and everything recorded about it. Deleting the app removes everything at once. Note that anything already saved to your Photos library stays there; delete it from Photos separately.
